My photograph of the month for May and June

Here are my photos for May and June. It’s a little late but June has been quite a busy month for many reasons!

May

On a short walk round my local patch, I found this lovely looking beetle resting on a fence. I was quite taken with it so it had to be my photo for May!

June

Some of you who have followed my 30 Days Wild will have already seen this photo but you have to admit it was a rather lovely sight to see. A cygnet resting on its mother’s back!

My photograph of the month for April

Choosing this month’s photograph was a tough one! All the new life has exploded everywhere!

Flowers, birds and insects have been brought forth by the promise of the sun’s warmth. I have spent a lot of time admiring the gorgeous yellow glows of dandelions that have filled the local grass verges. Bringing colour for us and much needed pollen and nectar to our early insect risers! I have seen many bees like this one, revelling in the pollen provisions of these precious golden blooms.

January was not only a chilly month, but also full of cheeky and charming Robins! This little beauty landed right in the middle of my path so I stopped to say hello!

My photograph from November and December!

My monthly blog has been a little haphazard this year, as proved by the fact I’m posting November and December’s photos together this month! But I do find this a fun exercise and maybe it is something I’ll carry through into 2017. However until then I’ll leave you with my last two photos for 2016 and wish you all HAPPY NEW YEAR!

My photograph from August!

A few days late but here is my photograph from August.

The Dragonflies have been out on force these last few weeks and they have been looking stunning! I have had many glorious afternoons both watching and photographing these beauties. I took so many photos that I had a real struggle picking this month’s photo. I’m thankful to my friend came to my aid and said that I should share this photo, it is their favourite for this month!

My photograph from January

It’s my first photograph of the month for 2016 and it’s been a good start to the year!

At the beginning of the month I had the opportunity to spend some free time walking round my local area, enjoying my new ‘patch’. One tree stood out for all the others. laden with juicy red cherries, it is a favourite of any hungry resident Blackbird.
